I love the people that go to Macquarie University and their diversity. The subject selection is awesome! There is a large range to choose from, especially in the Faculty of Science, which is great as I love science. The University is convenient for me because it is close to my home and most importantly also right next to a shopping centre which my best friend and I love going to after a long day at uni. The professors are the best and manage to turn lectures and tutorials into a good laugh while imprinting the essentials into our heads.

I chose Macquarie University mostly because it has an excellent reputation in commerce and finance. The best thing about Macquarie is the student population; it is diverse and made up of so many different cultures. Importantly everybody is friendly. It's easy to make friends, and the on-campus parties are fantastic ;) The campus itself is great for either studying or relaxing by the lake. The best feature of my degree is that it is transparent in its structure and learning outcomes, making it so much easier to study and learn because you can focus on the important issues.

I chose Macquarie University because I wanted to study accounting after I finished school, and Macquarie had a renowned business and economics faculty. Although accounting seemed rather dry at first, the course gave me the opportunity to study a variety of elective subjects making it much more interesting than I initially thought it would be. The work can get tough at times, but there are always lecturers, tutors and mentors willing to help out during difficult periods. Aside from work, Macquarie University has been a great place to make new friends and there are heaps of areas around campus where you can just relax and have a good time.
