Non-Award Study
Non-award study is available to students on a tuition-fee-paying basis. You can enrol in units of interest and study at a pace that suits your lifestyle and other commitments.
It is classified as non-award because students enrol in individual units rather than an award such as a degree, diploma or certificate.
There may be many personal reasons for undertaking non-award study including specific vocational needs, learning more about an area of interest or personal growth and development.
If right now you don't have the ATAR for entry into a Macquarie degree, non-award study gives you the option of working towards enrolling in a relevant degree at a later date. It involves enrolling in one or more units without being enrolled in a degree or diploma.
Students who complete 12 Credit Points with a minimum GPA of 2.0 can gain admission into a limited number of Bachelors' Programs at Macquarie University. The subjects that you have successfully completed will be credited towards your degree.
The Macquarie Centre of Open Education runs all non-award study and should be contacted for further information.
